AllAboutAntik was founded by Liam Simon Arning and Akin Akyol in 2025.
Biographies:
Liam Simon Arning – Co-Founder of AllAboutAntik
Liam Simon Arning was born in Kiel in 1999 and discovered his passion for photography, vintage technology and rare collector's items at an early age. His sense of aesthetics and his enthusiasm for classic cameras led him into the world of photo media. From 2017 to 2020 he completed an apprenticeship as a photo media specialist at the renowned state vocational school Photo + Medien Kiel and then deepened his specialist knowledge at Vico GmbH & Co. KG.
With the desire to support analog photography and the trade in classic cameras, Liam founded his sole proprietorship WCE-Germany in 2020. The platform served as a marketplace for smaller photo shops to offer them better visibility and a digital sales channel.
From 2021 to 2025, he played a key role in the development of the Leica Classic Store Wetzlar (Leica Camera AG), a center for lovers of classic Leica cameras. Here he further expanded his expertise in the field of high-quality photo technology and deepened his international network in the collector scene.
His passion for historical cameras, rare antiques and high-quality photo technology has led him to numerous auctions, exchanges and international events, where he is active not only as an expert, but also as a passionate collector and networker. With an impressive social media reach of over 50,000 followers, Liam shares his knowledge and enthusiasm for classic photography and vintage treasures with a global community.
At AllAboutAntik, Liam brings his extensive experience, eye for detail and deep passion for rare collectibles. His goal is to combine art, technology and history and give other enthusiasts access to unique finds.
Akin Akyol – Co-Founder of AllAboutAntik
Akin Akyol is an experienced expert with a deep understanding of vintage car parts, antique technical equipment, art antiques and military historical objects. His enthusiasm for historical technology, precise craftsmanship and rare finds has made him a valued expert in these fields over the years.
His particular area of expertise includes mechanical and technical antiques, including rare equipment, historical tools and machinery. He also has extensive knowledge of vintage car parts, particularly rare and hard to find components for classic vehicles.
In addition, Akin is very familiar with the international market for art and military antiques. By participating in numerous auctions, trade fairs and collectors' meetings, he has been able to build up a broad network in the industry and constantly deepen his expertise.
